Here’s an interesting project for anyone working in the JavaScript/Ajax world, or interested in authoring Vista Sidebar gadgets using C#.

Nikhil Kothari’s Script# project now provides a series of APIs that you can use to build Vista gadgets within WPF, along with a sample gadget (an MSDN search – potentially useful in itself) to help you on your way.

I wonder if anyone’s figured out what the solution to Microsoft’s latest viral marketing campaign is yet? I heard today that they’re now asking the recipients of the original laptops to either give them away or donate them to charity once they’ve finished reviewing the products, but this screen is still bugging me.

Vista rolls out to the retail channel.

It’s Thursday 30th November, and Windows Vista has just started its global roll-out to business customers. Anyone with a corporate licensing deal should be able to download the new OS from today. The rest of us will have to wait until the new year (around the 30th January according to some sources) before we can get out hands on the final release version.
