MS creates Open Source Lead position

Jun 20, 12:39 pm

As found on InfoQ.com: Microsoft has tapped Garrett Serack as their new Open Source Community Lead.

In an attempt to move the company towards open source, Microsoft has charged him with “building and connecting Open Source Communities around Microsoft Platforms”. Given IronPython, IronRuby/Ruby.NET and outside competition increasing from Spring.NET, NHibernate, Castle, etc. – it seems like a good move.

What do you think?
